Moon Chapel Meditation
We all know that there are worlds beyond our own.  Intelligent life?
Perhaps ~ that's not in dispute here.  The closest world we are aware of quite often is the Moon.  We've landed there, explored there, created data banks, and dreamed of it.  Tonight we meditate on it.

For the sake of a "word" I used Chapel in this meditation to mean sacred temple, holy space, whatever you would choose to be of your path, a step up from your daily, normal "worship/contemplation/meditation" space.  It implies no specific faith or "religion" merely a sacred space.  You will tailor this space to your own preferences, I merely offer you a path to it and perhaps beyond.

As with any meditation, make sure you turn off the phone and will remain undisturbed for some time.  Seat yourself comfortably and relax your mind and body.  Turn away from daily concerns and worries, release the stresses and begin to breathe deeply.  Breathe out all negativity in streams of dark colors.  Fill yourself with the loving, healing white or gold light of the universe.

Beginning with your toes, flex and relax each part of your body, releasing any remaining tension.  Do not stop until you get to the crown of your head.  Take a few more deep cleansing breaths and then settle into a comfortable breathing pattern.  Go to your sacred space and spend a little time relaxing there before stepping beyond the boundaries into the garden.  (This is the same garden used in my other meditations.  By now most have already attached it to their sacred space.  If not, then please do.)  The garden is full of trees and flowers and statues, a fountain in the middle, and a large grassy field.  Beyond that, all "extras" are up to you.  This is only to get you started. Learn to create beautiful worlds tailored to your likes and needs.

Once in the garden, relax and explore a bit.  Enjoy a refreshing splash of water from your fountain before finding your way to the grassy field.  Relax.  Remove your shoes.  Feel the life beneath your feet.  Feel that same life pulsing within your own body.  That world within is just as important as the world without.  For tonight, we go without a bubble, but rather form a protective shield within our aura, already a part of ourselves.  Should you
choose to add color to your 'shield' please be certain you can 'see' through it. Close your eyes and allow the garden to disappear.  Tonight, gravity doesn't hold you back, and you feel yourself begin to rise from the field.  You are safe, you guide where you go, have fun with it.  This body isn't limited by the physical space you normally conform to.  Your ultimate destination is to the shadowy side of the moon, but feel free to step in a few "puddles" along the way.

Remember that half the fun of life is the journey; getting to what and where we wish to be.  When you finally reach the shadow-side of the moon, relax and feel the new energy you are near.  Cooler?  Darker?  More comfortable perhaps? As you move around, you see large vine-like plants growing up rocks.  In the rocks is a giant set of double doors.  The plants seem to block the entrance completely.  Take a few minutes to just explore this a bit.  See it clearly in your inner eye. Get a "feel" for this Sacred Space.

A soft, feminine voice asks you what you are willing to give up in your life to catch your dreams.  Looking around, there is no one.  The vines on the doors seem to be moving with a life of their own.  As you think of things you can do to make your life better, the vines begin to slowly pull aside, allowing entrance through massive double doors.  (Long Pause)  As they move aside you notice a large keyhole in the doors.  It would appear they are locked and you are not permitted entry yet.

The voice asks you another question.  "What have you been doing to block your progress in the past?"  Take some time to contemplate this making sure you are honest with yourself in this assessment. Misdirection here will not be helpful to you. (Long Pause)
As you bring forth the truths to the surface, the lock on the doors fades away. Take a few deep breaths and relax before continuing.  When you are ready to enter, the doors swing wide, allowing you to enter freely within.  A soft golden glow emanates from inside the doors.  Breathe deeply into any tension you are feeling, ridding yourself of their burdens before stepping inside.

The room you step into is an entryway.  A place for you to shed your "street" self and clothes, and assume your sacred self.  Robes are available, or if you prefer sky-clad, that is fine too.  It is only you so it is entirely up to you!
There are oils if you wish to anoint yourself, water to refresh, and fresh flowers to take as an "offering" if you wish.  Prepare yourself and then relax briefly before stepping in to the chapel.

The chapel is quiet and expansive, with an altar if you wish to use it.  There are already many candles burning to illuminate the chapel as well as many urns of flowers, already left by others in the past.  There are great windows that open to strange rock gardens.  Unlike the rocks you are used to seeing, these rocks do not have plants clinging to them, they are instead dusty and dirty, devoid of any life at first glance.  The windows are large enough to climb through and explore beyond should you choose to at a later time.  For now, we stay in the chapel.  There are doors that lead out of here, but for now, take some time to explore your private chapel room only.

There are places to sit in here, rugs to meditate on, and all implements you could possibly need.  Sticks of incense, bottles of oils, wands, bells and even a beautiful chalice.  This chapel is where you come to talk to your Creator.
Whomever you see that to be in your life.  This space is sacred and holy.  In our lives, we are given much.  This chapel is a fine place to start giving thanks for these gifts.  It is also a good place to start planning for your future.  Long ago we were told if you don't ask, you won't know, if we don't knock, the doors don't open, and if we do not seek, we do not receive.  This is where we "ask", and this is where we will give thanks for any help we might request and receive.

Choose a place to sit in here where you will be comfortable.  A place where you will feel sacred within.  Since the Moon is associated with waters, and waters with the emotions, we will, for the sake of this meditation, be asking for help with our emotions.  We all feel overwhelmed at some point in our lives.  We all need a "nudge" to help us feel better about ourselves at times.  Unfortunately, society isn't always famous for helping the helpless or assisting others in doing things they can do for themselves.  The biggest problem is that often when we need it most, that nudge or help is too hard for us to see through our own pain.  Think about your own emotions.  We all have some that we are good with and some we are not.  We seek to liberate ourselves from the emotions that we are having trouble controlling.  For me, it is anger.  Your emotion might be a different one than mine, so the one you need to help yourself with isn't the one I need help with, but rather the one you need to work through. Be honest with yourself so that you can truly grow from this experience.

(Long Pause)

Relax your breathing once more, calming yourself.  Contemplate the qualities within that you would like to change.  Perhaps you are less accepting of some than others.  Perhaps you are easily angered.  Perhaps you buckle under the strain of guilt or any other number of things.  Only you know what you want/need.  Take it to your guides or your deity of choice, in a respectful manner at this time.  Remember to offer up what you are willing to give in order to obtain your progress.  Take all the time you need to have this "meeting" with your guides, etc.

(Long Pause)

As you finish up, you notice a door open in the chapel.   Through it enters an animal.  It looks at you as if it's come to see only you.  This is a guide just for you.  Someone who can assist you on your way.  Take time to interact
with this guide and get to know it.  Remember to be respectful for they are here to assist you, not to "do your bidding".  Ask this animal if they have any information you can utilize to assist you on your journey.  Listen
carefully to what they say and remember it well.  When you are done, the animal will leave.  (Long Pause)  Think to yourself what that specific animal means to you.  You may find some insight further into your own personality
from this sacred meeting.

At a later date, you can explore beyond this chapel.  Further into it and beyond the windows.  It can lead you anywhere you wish to go, limited only by your own imagination.  Mine leads to mountains and lots of other paths,
but that is where my mind takes me and your special places may be much different.  There is no right or wrong here, only your ability to "explore" with your mind.  Abilities that grow stronger each time you use them.

For now, stand up and prepare to leave the chapel and return to the garden.  The fresh flowers can be left in gratitude of your visit before exiting.  As you leave the chapel, the large double doors swing closed soundlessly and the vines move back to seal their entrance.  You get a momentary peek at the lock as it
moves back into place and you know that this chapel is well protected. You also remember that you can come back here at any time you wish.

Return to the garden the same way you left.  Your own protective aura will keep you safe in this journey.  When you return to the garden, take a few minutes to just sink your feet into the grass and ground yourself before
returning to your own sacred space.  Remember that the energy you are grounding down into your garden is not only nurturing your own garden, but your experiences in life as well.  Enjoy it and nurture it as you would
your own live garden in real life.

When you are ready, open your eyes and return to a wakeful state of mind.
You are very refreshed and alert.  You can recall with perfect detail your whole journey tonight.  In the future, when you see the Moon high overhead, remember your visit to the Chapel.  You can return there any time you have need.   The Chapel will stay there whether you are present or not.

I recommend writing down your journey this evening.  It is good to keep track of your journeys for a record to follow and see your progress.
