Goddess Etain (pronounced Ay-deen), Edain, Goddess of Beauty, Grace and Desire, Beloved of Oengus Og (God of Love) and Midir (Prince of the Sidhe), Wife of King Eochaid (King of all Ireland), the “Shining One”, the Swift One, and one of the White Ladies of Fae.
Etain was the daughter of Ailill. Etain’s name translates to “Shining One”. Etain was a Celtic Moon Goddess. In early Goidelic mythology, Etain was a sun goddess.
Goddess Etain can help us see the strength within us when we are facing major changes in our lives. She can help us through changes and be a shining light in the darkness.
When we are discouraged, weak, and perhaps have only the strength to call out her name she will come to us and bring beauty back into our lives. She has the power of transformation.
